   Measuring soil moisture in large deep plant pots can be a challenge. I tried out this moisture meter sensor on both watered and dry plants and found the results to be very precise. It eliminated the need for guesswork, preventing both overwatering and underwatering. The only drawback is that the probe needs to be taken out after testing to prevent corrosion.

   The product effectively senses moisture levels, but the head unit may need to be more durable where it connects to the probe. Caution is advised when inserting the probe into soil by applying pressure on the head or meter.

   I am thrilled with my purchase of the XLUX Soil Moisture Probe! I had been searching for a longer probe for a while, as the one I previously had was too short for my plant pots that are over 12″ deep. The XLUX has proven to be the perfect solution for my larger, deeper pots with its impressive accuracy.    Great for checking the moisture levels in your yard. It’s recommended not to leave it outdoors as it doesn’t appear to be waterproof. It’s not clear how to replace the batteries, but it is affordable and works very well. The large size allows it to be inserted deep into the ground.

    I find these soil moisture meters to be quite accurate. The set includes two meters at a reasonable price point. They are incredibly user-friendly – simply insert them into the ground near the plant roots. The photos of the dracaena plant depict the moisture level three days post-watering. I appreciate being able to check the soil moisture before watering, ensuring my plants receive the right amount of water and avoiding overwatering.
