   After my old rapid tester stopped working, I had to find a replacement for my container gardening. The new tester responds quickly to light and motion. To get pH readings, you just need to insert the meter into the soil with the slide button on the right and wait for about 5 minutes. I am happy with the outcomes.

   After noticing my hydrangeas and Azaleas were struggling and losing color, I suspected a PH imbalance. I decided to try out this 3-in-1 tester after some research. Placing it by my azaleas, it indicated good moisture and light levels, but a less-than-ideal PH level for the azaleas. I’ve since added the appropriate fertilizer and will retest in a week. My only issue with this tester is that the numbers are quite small, requiring me to wear glasses to see them clearly.

   I regret to say that this plant sensor did not meet my needs for growing succulents outdoors in containers in the Bay Area. The sensors did not provide accurate readings under normal conditions. The light meter could not distinguish between different shades of light, the moisture meter only showed accurate readings when the soil was extremely wet, and the pH meter was essentially useless.
