   I have been using Jobes’ tomato fertilizer spikes for several years now. I plant tomatoes in pots on my deck and I find that using 2 spikes per pot at planting time and then again when the flowers bloom really enhances the fruit yield. I also use Jobes’ houseplant fertilizer sticks and flowering houseplant fertilizer sticks with great results.    I find Jobe’s Tomato Fertilizer Spikes 6-18-6 Time Release Fertilizer spikes very convenient to use. It’s our first time using them this year, and despite it only being May 19 in central Alabama, we already have several marble-size tomatoes and even one about the size of a golf ball. This is earlier than usual for us, and we might have ripe tomatoes by July 4! Our plants look really healthy with a dark, hunter green color. I intend to use these spikes again next year and might even try them…

   Thanks to these food sticks, my tomatoes are thriving! I am growing them in zone 6 and it’s mid-June already. Typically, we only plant outside by the end of May, but my tomatoes are already over 6 feet tall and loaded with fruits ready to ripen. Starting them indoors was a great decision, especially since I lack usable windows with morning sun exposure. The food sticks have definitely made a difference in their growth.

    After reading a few reviews mentioning receiving only one package, I wanted to share my experience. Initially, I also thought I only received one, but upon closer inspection, I found two spikes stacked on top of each other in the package. I’ve been using the product for a while now – currently on my second round of spikes after 8 weeks, supporting 7 large tomato plants. As a beginner gardener, I can’t definitively say how well it works, but so far, it seems to be doing a good job.
