   I have been using this brand for over 30 years, starting with their sewing shears. When I decided to try their pruners, I had high expectations based on my previous experience. I was not let down. These pruners effortlessly trim thick branches, making the task easy even as I age past 80. The quality is exceptional, and they are user-friendly. While I doubt I will need them for another 30 years, I am confident that they are built to last.

   I bought this product for light pruning, specifically for branches less than 3 inches thick as recommended. However, after using it to cut some very small sucker growth, I found that the clippers wouldn’t stay closed. The closing tab was misaligned and already showing signs of wear. I adjusted the screw and pressed the locking tab to make sure it was fully contacting the closure stop. It seems like either the initial construction was poor or the metal tab is not very durable.

   I was pleasantly surprised by how sharp and easy to handle these scissors are. They cut very smoothly, which is great for someone like me with arthritis in my hands who can’t apply a lot of pressure. These scissors worked extremely well for my needs.
