   These rocks are of high quality with a shiny and strong black color. However, they are smaller than anticipated, measuring only about 1 inch. The description had indicated them as “large” river rocks, leading to my expectation of them being 2 inches or larger. Unfortunately, this smaller size prevented me from using them as intended, which was as paperweights for a luncheon outdoors. This discrepancy is the sole reason for my 4-star rating.    I have been using these drainage pebbles for a few months now in the bottom of my plant pots, and they still look great! The color has remained consistent and there are no signs of any breakage or deterioration, unlike larger pebbles. I highly recommend this product.

   I appreciate the convenience of this silica sand being packaged in a jar. It works well for both my succulents and as a base for my votive candles to prevent the wax from adhering.

   I had intended to store these products for future use and was pleased with the storage container feature, as opposed to the typical bag packaging. However, upon arrival, I found the lid to be broken and there were loose balls inside the box, despite the box itself showing no signs of damage.

   I am quite satisfied with my purchase. I am using these items in my aquarium and terracotta pots to propagate cuttings, and they are growing very well. I especially love how they look in the aquarium when paired with glass suction cup holders.

   I really liked the product itself, especially the small clay balls which are different from others on the market. However, the packaging was a major letdown. It looked like it had been through a war by the time it reached me. The Amazon package was fine, no damage there. But the plastic container inside seemed to have been mishandled terribly.     I selected these clay beads based on their size, opting for a smaller option to accommodate plants with delicate roots.
