The Croton Red Batik is a beautiful indoor houseplant that requires ample sunlight to develop its striking foliage colors. Its leaves are linear with rounded tips, starting light green with yellow streaks and maturing to dark green with red and orange veins. This plant thrives in warm temperatures around 70 degrees Fahrenheit and can lose leaves in colder conditions. While considered high-maintenance initially, Crotons are low-care once acclimated. Originating from Malaysia, these tropical shrubs are known for their colorful waxy foliage and are popular as houseplants. In frost-free areas, they can also be grown outdoors in warm climates like Hawaii, Florida, and Southern California.

This Croton is absolutely adorable – I already own 5 other Croton Petra plants. The only downside to this little baby Croton was that its leaves were quite delicate. Unfortunately, they would easily detach whenever the plant brushed against another leaf. It was truly saddening to witness this. Despite this, I appreciated having it while it lasted. Thank you, anyway.
