Coco Coir Brick

This product is ideal for creating custom soil blends. It effectively holds moisture while also providing excellent drainage. I have noticed that when used without compost or peat, it can dry out quickly, necessitating more frequent watering. Its drainage properties make it a good alternative to perlite or vermiculite in soil mixes. While some users prefer using coconut coir alone, I have personally found better results when combined with compost, worm castings, and other similar additives….

This coco brick is a standard product that expands when soaked in water, offering excellent value for the price. Upon unwrapping the brick, I noticed a slight smell, possibly from the adhesive or plastic wrap. However, it expanded rapidly and effectively absorbed excess water without the risk of being damaged.

These bricks cannot be directly compared to other brands available on Amazon due to their lighter weight of approximately 460 g compared to other brands weighing around 650 g per brick. The lower compression of these bricks makes them easier to break by hand, unlike other brands that may require tools like a saw for splitting. While splitting these bricks by hand may be easier, caution is advised against using power tools for safety reasons. For individuals needing partial bricks frequently,…

The Core Brick is a lightweight and easy-to-handle brick tile with excellent drainage capabilities. While it does have some drawbacks such as scattering fine particles and its low nutrient content, with some creativity in its use, it can be a valuable asset for DIY projects and gardening. It is important to note that when opening the package, it is advisable to place something underneath to prevent the fine particles from scattering. My wife, who is an avid gardener, is currently utilizing…

We purchased the 8-piece premium coco coir and we are very pleased with our decision. The fiber particles are finer compared to the coir I had been using previously. The blocks break up easily and the coir quickly absorbs water, eliminating the need to wait hours for it to expand and break apart. Some of the new blocks had torn plastic wrapping and broke in half easily just by hand, creating a cloud of fine coir dust. The wet coir had no odor and the fine consistency of the fiber blended…

After soaking the coco coir block, I was taken aback by the limited quantity it produced. Although it expanded and held moisture effectively, the price of $20 for 4.37lbs. seemed high. While it could be beneficial for those with limited space, I personally prefer purchasing a large bag of dry coco coir as it allows me to use only the necessary amount.
