   The rocks are uniform in color and size, making them perfect for decorative pots. It’s believed that mixing volcanic rocks with soil can improve plant growth, so I’ve added some to my pots and am excited to observe the results. I am highly satisfied with these rocks and will order more from this vendor if the outcomes are positive.

   I have found multiple uses for this product. I have used it in my aquarium filter, added it to my orchid mix, mixed it into my terrarium substrate, as a top layer for my succulent substrate (which not only looks good but also reduces evaporation), and even added it to my houseplant potting mix to improve drainage and aeration.    The lightweight nature of these allows them to provide drainage without adding unnecessary weight to pots, unlike rocks or other drainage methods.

   This is a Vine review of a product labeled as lava “rocks,” although the size specified in the listing is actually closer to pea gravel size, measuring 0.2″-0.35″ (6mm-8mm). Despite the mislabeling, the 10 lb main bag exceeded its weight and contained two 5 lb bags. Upon screening one of the bags, there was minimal powder present, indicating a good quality and consistent product. However, there were no actual “rocks” as expected. (Smiley Face Here!)

   I utilize these rocks for my plants to enhance their appearance, maintain soil moisture, and deter fungus gnats. The product has proven to be highly effective thus far, and I am pleased with its performance. A single layer of these rocks suffices for my needs. Additionally, the rocks are consistently sized and boast an attractive color.
