   This product works well! The potting soil I usually purchase contains some perlite, but it’s not sufficient for some of my dry climate plants. This product was excellent for adding volume to the soil and appears to be of good quality. While I’m not very knowledgeable about gardening, it seems like this will assist with the issue of soil compaction due to excessive water weight that I’ve been dealing with.

    I found this product effective in aerating soil for new plants in Grow Bags. I trust the Espoma brand and use their fertilizers as well. However, I felt that this particular perlite was expensive. I was able to find a similar-sized bag of an organic alternative at a major retailer, at a much more affordable price.
