A while back, my thoughtful spouse bought a large bag of perlite and I used every bit of it over the years. Now that I’ve run out, I’ve been trying different brands of perlite. I recently tried one that stood out to me. The bag was easy to open with a simple zip, which was a relief compared to struggling with other bags while covered in perlite. As I poured it into my mix, there was minimal dust, unlike other brands I’ve used in the past. I ended up pouring the entire bag without any dust…

This gardening product is truly exceptional. I consistently include a couple of handfuls of it in my potting mixes when repotting indoor plants. It effectively enhances soil drainage and aeration, which helps prevent root rot. What sets this brand apart is its chemical-free treatment, making it safe for a diverse range of plants.

I have used this product to improve the drainage of my cactus soil with fantastic results. I advise moistening the perlite before application to prevent it from becoming airborne. It is important to avoid inhaling it. Despite this precaution, the product effectively enhances drainage, preventing mold and diseases in my plants.

The front of the perlite bag clearly indicates its purpose: to enhance heavy soils. For instance, if you have regular potting soil but require cactus soil, there’s no need to purchase a separate bag. By mixing perlite in a 50/50 ratio, you can transform it into cactus soil. This process lightens the soil and improves aeration, enabling water to flow through easily. The mixing ratio should be adjusted based on your plants’ requirements, so it’s essential to conduct research to provide them…

This product works well! The potting soil I usually purchase contains some perlite, but it’s not sufficient for some of my dry climate plants. This product was excellent for adding volume to the soil and appears to be of good quality. While I’m not very knowledgeable about gardening, it seems like this will assist with the issue of soil compaction due to excessive water weight that I’ve been dealing with.

I found this product effective in aerating soil for new plants in Grow Bags. I trust the Espoma brand and use their fertilizers as well. However, I felt that this particular perlite was expensive. I was able to find a similar-sized bag of an organic alternative at a major retailer, at a much more affordable price.

The Espoma Organic Perlite is a top-notch product that gardeners looking to enhance soil quality and support robust plant growth will appreciate. This all-natural and organic gardening solution is perfect for environmentally conscious growers. One of the key benefits of Espoma Organic Perlite is its effectiveness in aerating and loosening dense soils. By blending this light and porous material into the soil, it forms air pockets that enhance drainage and prevent soil compaction. This…
