   I found the texture of this soil to be different from other brands, as it was quite clumpy and challenging to work with. On the positive side, the seeds did sprout. However, I personally prefer a smoother texture for my gardening needs. While I appreciate the company’s quality, I do not plan on buying this product again.

   I have incorporated coco coir into my yard for soil improvement and mulching purposes. While initially challenging to break into pieces, I have found success using a chisel and hammer. Once soaked in water, it transforms into fine pieces and fibers that easily blend with soil or can be placed around plants.    Update: After about a month, I noticed new growth on my seedlings, which was a pleasant surprise. The product did not emit any odor, and I did not observe any gnats. However, I made the mistake of placing my planter outside, resulting in the plants dying the next day. This potting mix is strictly for indoor use. It is not suitable for outdoor environments.    During gnat season, I used this soil and found zero gnats. The cactus soil is high-quality with just the right amount of perlite and a rare stick. The soil was mostly dry with some clumping. I recently repotted a giant aloe plant, a Christmas cactus, and a baby saguaro cactus using this soil. All three plants have recovered and are thriving. This product offers great value for the quality and quantity of soil provided.

   This product effectively retains the right level of moisture for root development, reducing the risk of infections. Its optimal pH level promotes nutrient absorption, combined with mycorrhizae for a robust rooting medium that sets plants up for a strong beginning.    I wanted to share an update on the larger size of this product. Today, while using one of the two bags, I discovered a large piece of wood inside. This could affect the weight of the bag’s contents. Overall, it’s still a good product, but it’s disappointing to find driftwood instead of the intended product.
