   I purchased these pebbles approximately a year ago for my small-scale hydroponic gardening needs. They perform well for their intended purpose. A quick rinse easily removes any dust accumulated during shipping, while a thorough soak and scrub effectively eliminate most white salt deposits caused by nutrient buildup over time.    I find these clay pebbles to be excellent! I utilize them for semi-hydroponic planting for some of my plants. Initially, I sterilized a portion of the pebbles by boiling them before use, while for the remaining half of the bag, I simply soaked them for 24 hours to ensure moisture content.    Nicely crafted product. I suggest washing them before use as they may have a significant amount of clay dust. I soaked them for 24 hours to aid my orchids, but they tend to dry out quickly.

    As noted in other reviews, this bag is on the smaller side for its price. Nevertheless, it was just the right amount for the base of my houseplant pots to aid in drainage. I found it to be sufficient for a few plants without excessive leftovers. I use it to fill the bottom inch or two of my pots with regular soil on top.     I was caring for my neighbor’s orchid when I discovered that it was suffering from root rot due to being overwatered. I decided to repot the plant and followed the advice of orchid experts online by using clay pebbles. These pebbles effectively absorb water and help maintain the plant’s moisture levels, especially during the dry winter months when indoor humidity is low.     This was my first time trying leca balls, and I have decided to stick with this brand. I appreciate the size variations as they fit well around smaller plants, helping them stand upright. The product arrived with minimal breakage and although some dust was present, it was easily rinsed off. Following the instructions to soak them overnight, I have been impressed with how well my plants are thriving in them, especially when combined with the right nutrients.
