   The perlite matches the description and size requirements perfectly. While it appears not too dusty initially, the true amount will only be revealed once I reach the bottom of the bag. Remember to always use a quality mask or respirator when working with perlite!

   I was in need of a coarser perlite for repotting my large barrel cacti, and after struggling to find it locally, I turned to Amazon. Although the price of almost $40 for the bag gave me pause, I decided to go for it, knowing it would last me a while.    I bought the super coarse perlite. It’s less coarse than the #3 perlite from Mother Earth, which is the level of coarseness I was aiming for. Still, it’s an improvement over the vigoro version sold by Home Depot. If this brand maintains its current price, I would consider purchasing it to replace the vigoro version. However, if you’re seeking something extremely chunky for aroids, you may need to keep searching. While it serves its purpose for now, I would expect a chunkier texture if they…

   I purchased two bags of Medium size Perlite 4 cu ft for constructing a pizza oven. I used most of the two bags to create a 4-inch thick insulation base using a mix of 5 parts Perlite to 1 part cement and 1 part water for a 44″W x 53″L base. Now, I need to purchase at least one more bag to add an insulation layer over a ceramic fiber blanket for the pizza oven dome. I find the medium size Perlite ideal for this project. If I were using it for large plant pots, I would opt for the coarse size….

   I purchased a 4 cubic foot bag of super coarse perlite and was surprised by its size – it’s almost comically huge! The perlite itself is of decent size, larger than the typical box store perlite. I plan on using it for my potted plants this summer and expect it to work well. However, I ended up buying more than I needed – this bag seems to have enough perlite for generations to come! Overall, it’s a great deal if you require a large quantity of perlite.

   After trying several other perlite options, I found that this product stood out as the best. I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect size and generous quantity it offered compared to other brands I had tried, all at a lower cost. I would definitely order this again and recommend it to others for its great value when buying in bulk.
