I found this product to be smaller than beach sand. I purchased it for my orchids thinking it was regular size perlite. It worked well for mixing into garden soils.

I have found this perlite to be of high quality. I used it as a medium for propagating a fiddle leaf fig, 3 rubber trees, and a pothos plants. I must say, it has proven to be more effective than using water alone. I highly recommend using this perlite as a medium or adding it to soil for improved drainage. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

I was disappointed with the limited selection of in-store options at big box stores, as they mainly offered Miracle Grow perlite that contains harmful and unnecessary chemicals. I was thrilled to find this affordable and natural alternative. I mixed it with regular potting soil and coarse sand to create my own succulent soil mix, and my plants are thriving as a result.

I enjoy keeping this product handy to enhance any soil, whether for indoor potting or succulent mixes. It can be a bit dusty, but spraying a little water beforehand can help.

My plants are thriving after adding this product to the soil during repotting.

I wish I had been more mindful of the size grading. There are many small pieces and perlite dust in the bag. I had to sift out the perlite bits by size before I could use it.

Works well for breaking up compacted soil.

There is a lot of sand in the perlite.
Angelic L Bennett – June 14, 2024
I am happy to report that my plants are doing exceptionally well.

Be cautious when using this perlite for lining the bottom of your Martha tent as it tends to crumble easily. Despite its tendency to break while being handled, it does assist in maintaining humidity levels within the tent. However, considering the premium price, the quantity provided may not justify the cost.
