   I found this gravel to be exceptionally nice. It was a fantastic addition to setting up my fish tank. The end result was a spectacular looking tank with rocks that appear well-made and feel of great quality. The view of the tank with a white light shining through is truly breathtaking.

   After rinsing it, I found that this gravel didn’t have as much initial cloudiness as some others I’ve used. I have no complaints about it – the color is consistent, it’s not too sharp, and it resembles a natural dark substrate.

   I purchased two bags of this product for my new aquarium. The instructions advised rinsing each bag until the water runs clean before adding it to the tank. One bag cleaned up nicely with just a few rinses in a colander, minimal crushed gravel residue. The other bag was more challenging, requiring around 20 rinses and still had tiny gravel particles clinging to it.     After having aquariums for many years, I never thought about using black gravel until now, and I absolutely love it! Both my guppies and cats seem to approve of it too. I don’t have any glowing effect from it since I don’t have neon tanks, but that’s not a problem for me. Some people mentioned it being messy, but I found it to be excellent!
