Description: The Dancing Lady Orchid is a popular choice with rich yellow blooms on very tall flower spikes reaching over 3 feet in height. It is easy to grow and suitable for new orchid growers. The plants available are SD1, large seedling-size plants that will reach Blooming Size in about 18 – 24 months. Care instructions include watering about twice a week, providing bright shady conditions, and using fine bark for orchids or New Zealand Sphagnum Moss as media. It is recommended to keep the plant in a small pot until it outgrows it. Please note that the plants are NOT in-bud/bloom when shipped, and it is advised to review all pictures in the listing to understand the condition and size of the plant you will receive.

The orchid arrived promptly and in good condition, although it did show signs of a fungal or bacterial infection. I had to trim a couple of yellow leaves with brown spots. The pot was a bit damaged with bark coming off, but after repotting, the orchid is thriving and growing new roots. I purchased anti-fungal and anti-bacterial formula but haven’t needed to use it yet as the infection appears to have halted.
