This product is very sensitive to the pH part of the tester. It consistently defaults to a pH of 7 regardless of the soil being tested. However, with some trial and error of removing and replacing the tester a few times, it eventually gives an accurate reading. Fortunately, I have other testers that provide more consistent results.

The moisture reading is effective for regular house plant soil, but I struggle to obtain accurate readings for my succulents. Their gritty soil doesn’t provide the most precise results, especially after watering. The light sensor performs well, but the PH feature is non-functional.

I have a large, elongated planter in my backyard where I planted 6 lilac bushes. The first year, all of them bloomed beautifully, but the following spring only some of them flowered while others did not. After researching online for possible solutions, I decided to order a soil pH meter to test the soil acidity levels. I had low expectations, but this product exceeded them. While I can’t confirm the pH reading accuracy, it appears to be fairly precise and gets the job done. I suggest using a separate moisture meter due to this tester having a single probe instead of two. However, this tool is still useful as it can measure moisture, light, and pH, making it a handy addition to any toolbox.
