   Protect your floors from water damage caused by overwatered Christmas trees with this base. Placing it under your stand and on top of your rug not only prevents accidents but also makes it easier to move the tree while decorating. While a bit expensive at around $35, it is a great investment for avoiding potential water damage and other mishaps with your tree.

   The product has an attractive appearance but lacks in quality. Unfortunately, one of the two items I ordered was defective and required replacement.

   I purchased this product to use as a water bowl for my baby Texas tortoises, and it works perfectly for that purpose as it is just over 1″ high. I would not recommend using it as a planter saucer; instead, I would opt for a more sturdy brand (which I also use for my tortoise water bowls). The saucer was slightly unbalanced, but I was able to easily fix this by trimming one edge to level it.

   Extremely sturdy and spacious enough to catch any of the cactus needles I accidentally drop.
